Gas 0095 Quotes: Simeon Coxe (Silver Apples)
Everyday for the next week or so we’re going to be posting quotes from fellow electronic musicians about Gas 0095.
Silver Apples were one of the pioneers of electronic music and atonal arrangements, experimenting with oscillators (named The Simeon) on their first two albums in 1968 and 69. They were recently quoted by Portishead as being a major influence on their recent and excellent ‘Portishead: Third’ album, and you can see the heavy influence with their video embedded below.
