Free Emit Mix Tape

emit_24David Ya from Entropy Records added a comment to our Woob Winners post, so we thought we’d add it here in case anyone missed it.

I’m really sorry to have missed the deadline for the Woob comment competition. It was my birthday 31th December so I was quite busy with family to send in time…  Finally, I decide to give you my thoughts about Woob, Gas & all Em:t artists into a dedicated 122 minute mix story:

The mix is 100% made with my em:t label CDs to demonstrate its outstanding diversity, let’s start the dream once again and share our emotions through it…

Well…. Happy New Year 2010 to all of you and all the best for forthcoming projects.

Cheers & Love,
David.

Glad to see this made it to the front page. Thank you David for putting this mix together. It’s an amazing retrospective of the entire em:t catalog and a true reflection of just how t:meless the em:t stuff still sounds today. You obviously put a lot of thought, time, and emotion in creating this mix.

    Cheers!

the set was construct like in a dream… first with a sleeping phase then random visions & scenes like in a dream!
hehe… Some tracks are cuts but the construction remain progressive… with deep sequences or more action…. up to you.

    All is 100% em:t music. No sample, No ruse…. PURE em:t !

    enjoy

    Hi,

I tried to download this, but it doesn’t seem to be available. I’d love to hear it though.

    Hi Sam,

I’ve just tried the link and it’s working for me. What happens if you try the link again?

  12. Sam I am . January 14, 2010 12:25 am

    Hi,
When I click on the link, I brought to a new browser where I can play the music (actually in Safari, it hangs, but with Chrome it plays after a while).
I was hoping to be able to save it as an MP3.
I did manage to open using QuickTime directly and saving it as as .MOV file.
    Thanks for the reply.

  13. Sam I am . January 14, 2010 12:27 am

Actually, I just tried using wget on the URL its getting me the .mp3 so I am all set. If I am not supposed to have the mp3 (i.e. the intent is just to play in the browser) I’ll delete it.

  14. Microscopics . January 14, 2010 9:58 am

    Hi Sam I am,

Yes it would depend on which MP3 player you have registered to play automatically.
So that when it has loaded you can go to File>Save As>MP3

I presume it’s ok to keep the MP3, although of course technically it’s illegal as I can’t speak for all the other Emit artists, but I’m sure no one will mind.
And David thoughtfully provided artwork, so it looks like he’s ok with people downloading it too.

  15. Vincent . January 14, 2010 12:34 pm

    Hello Sam I am,

Have you tried to right click or ctrl+click form mac on the link : it is what I did and it have worked perfectly.

  16. Microscopics . January 14, 2010 5:10 pm

    Yes, of course, Vincent has it;
    Right Click>Save File

  17. sam i am . January 14, 2010 5:15 pm

Interesting , Right Click>Save File was getting me download.php not the actual file. Hence my initial post. Alls good though as I managed to snag it.
Thanks for all the help though.

  18. David Ya . January 14, 2010 5:27 pm

    Hi sam,

Thanks for trying to download and sorry about issues

I think the best way is
    1) Right click on the link
    2) Save TARGET of the link as… (no save as)

I tried on firefox, internet explorer & chrome, it works.

Which browser do you use? Maybe I can help.

By the way, many thanks for your interest in this set.
You have been more than 200 people to have downloaded it.

I hope you enjoy the sound of em:t like the pleasure I have to prepare it.

As Microscopics says, technically a mix with commercial tracks is illegal… Here it was just to promote the em:t or a tribute to the label background. As there is no more re-issue at the moment. Hope artists understand it is free and I made it with love & devotion ^^ if for any reason there is rights problem I can delete it of course. I don’t want to abuse anybody !

    Best,
    David
